Wintery Chicago Trip 2018

When you're trying to cram in delicious food into a 2-3 day weekend trip out of state. It's like mission impossible, esp when you're traveling with other people. Everyone wants something different, but I shall get what I want!

Once I got off the plane I only had one thing on my mind. I was on a mission to get myself the Uni & Toro don from Ramen Takeya in Chicago. You wouldn't think you would find this beauty here, but I found it! It's very limited and I'm pretty sure our table took the last orders left for that day (we arrived roughly an hour or so after they opened too). I would have to say this was my favorite find while visiting Chicago. I was happy and didn't care for anything else!
I enjoyed everything here! Yes, I did get myself ramen too (tsukemen - dipping ramen). I will have to say the Uni & Toro stole the light from all the other dishes.

Since we were in Chicago we had to enjoy ourselves a pie. The Chicago Deep Dish Pizza was on our list for dinner. It's certainly a more complex version of what a pizza is to me, but it was delicious! Lou Malnati's Pizzeria does it right. If you're not from the area like me, just a FYI - you can't just stop by for a pizza, it takes roughly 40 or so minutes for this bad boy to finish cooking. So you better order ahead or get some appetizers started!

I have absolutely no clue where I am, but I know I'm in Chicago and this is a Chicago dog. Say hello.

This concludes my random and short trip to Chicago. I walked around in the freezing cold and touched the bean. I ate all the Chicago foods and will certainly come back! Oh! I got to see falling snow which was one of the best part of this trip!

Here's a bonus clip of my trip~ Snapchat Spectacles version

  1. I was at this place last week. This is such a joy as a place for food! I had a beautiful time at venues in Chicago. It reminded me of another center in the city. A beautiful, wonderful place that had excellent atmosphere.
